Dental implants are the best way to replace missing teeth. HanzaDent Dentistry has been placing dental implants since 2007. We have thousands of satisfied implant patients. We know that the success of the implantation largely depends on the patient. It is crucial for the patient to be willing and able to care for their teeth and implants, and this is ensured through proper and effective oral hygiene.
A dental implant is as close to your natural tooth as possible. And so is its care.
It is important to brush your teeth twice a day, preferably with an electric toothbrush. An electric toothbrush is more effective than a regular one, with a smaller head that can reach hard-to-access areas. The dentists at HanzaDent Dentistry are happy to teach their patients the correct brushing technique, which ensures good results and a long lifespan for both natural teeth and implants.
It is also important to clean between your teeth, using either dental floss or interdental brushes. Your dentist will recommend whether floss or brushes are better for you.
If you have long bridges attached to your implants, it may sometimes be necessary to visit the dentist for cleaning. In these cases, the dentist will remove the bridge, clean it, clean the implants in your mouth, and then place the bridge back.

After the dental implant procedure, the dentist usually explains to each patient individually how to care for the implant and how often to come for check-ups. The dentist will also give personalized recommendations on the interval for professional oral hygiene sessions.
